I’m sure the Z06 will be a beast and I’m hoping they score in the looks department. But honestly I’m just a “meh” on the sound clip.

I would think the C8 (base) would take value away from ZL1 more than the Z06, due to cost... I imagine the Z06 pricing to be a bit higher than C7 pricing

Despite the high demand and long waiting list for an LT2 C8, with dealer markups still $20-30K, I still see consistent increase in value for my ZLE.
The C8 Z06 waiting and dealer markup will be much worse, and will last at least 2 years. The effect of these ongoing C8/Z06 market conditions, combined with the upcoming end of ZL1 production and far superior engine platform for high HP modifications, may increase the value of ZL1s. |

It's going to be a great car, but a C8 Z06 customer and a ZL1 customer are NOT the same customer generally.

One Large Corvette dealer has a 2 year plus waiting list. You won’t see one for less than 90k with any options and no markup. If you have the means and can wait patiently or impatiently it will be worth it.

As I posted yesterday, the MSRP for an A10 ZL1 1LE is $75,360. A C8 Stingray coupe with 2LT trim and the Z51 track package has an MSRP of $74,260. I think the price of a base C8 Z06 will be under $100K. The question is, how much under $100K. I'm going to guess the base will start somewhere in the $80Ks.

Two very different Chevies. The ZL1 will appeal to some buyers just as the C8 ZO6 will appeal to others. The ZO6 will have a large markup in price when it comes out in my opinion.

I really put this up as tongue in cheek that a Z06 C8 would compete with a ZL1. I thought the sound clips were cool, really high revs at some point.
