REBUILT TRANSMISSION

Got a torque converter solenoid code, took it into the shop and they put in the necessary parts I should have put in.

new converter, new clutch packs, new seals and whatevers.

Transmission was slipping and all, in just about every gear after a while, wouldn't stay in 6th on the highway.

Now it runs buttery smooth and the trans temps actually fall below 180 on the highway, which is crazy to me. That B&M cooler is really helping out.

Just glad I have a better transmission...even if it did cost me about 3500. It'll be able to handle additional hp down the road too, I'm so happy.

3500$!!!

I thought it's cheaper to rebuild a trans in US than here

Just done rebuilding my dads truck 6L90 we went with rebuilding the torque converter instead of buying a new one but everything else in the trans is new. Seals, clutches/plates (BW), pump and bell housing machined, TRUE COOL cooler and it all cost 1900$ including labor

Not to long ago you were having some overheat issues. Both related or just a bad coincidence?

Did all of that and got a custom torque converter with triple disk clutch, it hurt to see the money go out of the account, but the Camaro is all the better for it.

Completely related, everything runs MUCH cooler now, so long as I'm at highway speeds. I expect it to be a little hot with the cam and Arizona temps anyways.
