Factory put on wrong tire

I bought my 2015 1LE brand new back in January. Today I finally made it to 1500 miles and took a good look at my tires to see how they were. I was surprised to see that I have a 305/35/20 in the rear and the other 3 tires are 285/35/20. This is how it came from the factory, the car had 6 miles on it when i bought it. I guess somehow the factory screwed up and put a ZL1 tire in the rear. Hard to believe this would happen, go figure.
I'll be visiting my dealer of Friday to see what they will do.

They screw up all the time. We bought a new Camaro in 1988, and rode around about a month before we realized that we had one grey door handle/armrest and one black! Of course they changed it out for us.

I've heard of worse happening. They should correct that. I only worry would be them screwing up the wheel when they change the tire to the correct size.

You know on second thought the wheel size is probably wrong too. It is most likely an 11" wheel.

It's supposed to be an 11-inch wheel.

10 inches in front and 11 inches in rear; same as ZL1. But with 285 tires on all 4 corners.

Hopefully they can match the 305 on the other rear wheel, they look so much better than the 285.

10/4, I never looked it up. I thought the 1LE had 10's all around because of the tire size. Doesn't make much sense to me to have 11's on the back with the same size tires as the front. Wonder what the advantage is to that combination.

might have been more of the oshawa swan song snafu. might have been damaged in transit or at the dealer and replaced by the seller. can't believe you never noticed. they don't look similar even at a glance.

square set up for plow reduction. maximizes 1lE balance and handling.

He will want to get a 285 back on that rim not another 305. On the 1LE if you have staggered tires you are going to get understeer.

When I put my 1LE suspension on I originally had my staggered factory wheels, understeer was horrible compared to stock. When I get my Factory Reproductions and went all same size tires the car rocked.

Get the 285, but as others have said, how did you not notice? Thats a pretty big difference.

Im actually surprised that I didn't notice this before. I dont drive it much and it just sits in the garage, so maybe thats why. Lets see what the dealer does.

Very odd you didn't notice it sooner. I check my tire pressure every week and inspect the tires.
