Navigation map in center of gauge cluster??
Saw someone post a video of a navigation map being displayed in the center of the gauge cluster in the tech cluster mode. I have a 2021 Camaro ZL1 WITH the navigation package (and OnStar, if that matters), and when I go to nav in the gauge cluster it shows a compass with a directional arrow and says what direction and nothing else.
Is this map 1) fake? 2) 2022+ only? 3) aliens? 4) something else? Lol...

This is real. You only get the (stamp sized) center map display in the DIC when you do not have a nav destination set, ie you are not following a planned route, because in that case this view displays the directions.
I wish GM had made the map larger and show in the background, spanning the entire DIC screen, behind the instrument display. Would have cost them relatively little effort and given a ton of "oomph" in return. EDIT: it may be a 2016-2018 only feature, however.

Do the 2019+ still have the Nav as part of the HUD? On my 2018 it only works when using OEM nav, not android auto
