Carvana loses license to operate in Illinois
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WTVO) — The state of Illinois has suspended the license of online auto dealer Carvana after the company failed to properly transfer titles on vehicles it sold.
The company is also accused of misusing out-of-state temporary registration permits, according to Automotive News. https://wgntv.com/news/illinois/carv...e-in-illinois/ |

Must be a theme. Same happened to them at their Raleigh location last August. They were suspended until January.

Not good. Same thing is happening with Vroom....being sued by the Texas AG, and you can find lots of reports of people claiming they aren't getting the information they need to be able to get their vehicle registered. I wonder if driveway.com is any better?
I'd rather buy my car in person if possible, but I also appreciate the idea behind these kind of car selling sites...but this could end up being a huge black eye for this type of seller system. Both of them have lost huge percentages of their share value.

Sold my 2021 Silverado LT Z71 w/6.2L to Vroom in August.. made 5K over what I paid for it. Had no issues with the sale.
Now buying a car from Vroom.. not a chance with all of their fees and what not.. |
