Thoughts and prayers for my family
Guys, I lost my dad yesterday due to kidney failure, he had just turned 80 back in December. Looking back he was the person that set me down the path of being a car guy. When I was very young he owned a blue 1965 Mustang with a 289 three speed and he later bought a 1968 Cutlas for our family car. When I turned 13 he bought a 1975 red Trans Am and convinced my mom it would be a good car for me when I turned 16. I think it mainly gave him a reason to buy a new muscle car for a second vehicle in the house hold that he could drive for 3 years….LOL. My parents were married for over 60 years so it’s been really hard on my mom.
Appreciate your parents while you have them… life seems so short.

I'm sorry for your loss. My dad was also the person who got me into cars, especially Camaro's.

Sorry for your loss my friend. May your dad RIP.
My father was a huge part of me being a car guy too. And you’re right, life is too short. |

Sorry for your loss.
My father was/is still the reason i'm into cars/bikes. He bought me my first motorcycle when I was 16 and my first car which was a 91 Camaro RS when I was 17. Try to teach my little girls the same. |

Prayers for you and your family. Loosing a parent is so tough.
When I was five (1960) my Dad took me with him when he test drove a 57 Chevy. He took it out to the highway and hit the gas once the road was clear. When he buried the speedo at 120 mph - he said "Yep- this will do" and bought it. He kept it until I turned 16 and turned it over to me. So, he launched my car love. He died last Oct. at 93 from covid. So sad!

So sorry for your loss. I lost both my parents a while back before they could even reach their 60's, so I completely agree you should appreciate them while you have them. Never know when something may take them earlier than expected.

Hey Memphis, your dad gave you the “big” of cars, provided many memories and will always be by your side. Celebrate his life and share those memories in the days ahead.

Sorry for your loss.
My dad had been gone for 17 years, and I still think about him every day. He showed me how to work on cars when I was still in short pants. My first car was a ‘69 Firebird. My dad knew it was a piece of crap, but he went with me to get it and helped me put a new motor in and get it on the road. Here’s to all the dads. 🍻 |
