Issues after GM CAI Install

Ok just to give a little history we have a 2016 SS auto. car we go to the track fairly regularly car has run consistently 12.10 -12.20 in dead summer heat with 1.8 ,60' so we decided to go with the GM CAI , installed and reflashed by GM dealer to retain factory warranty so we go to the track Friday night to run and the car runs 12-90 to 13 flat all night with 2.11 ,60'

Has anyone else got the GM part & reflash with same issue I will be calling dealer Monday but I know as soon as I tell them how I know it's slower (by drag racing / et's) it somehow won't be there issue.

One other thing it could be but not is my wife brought the car in to dealership with 10,000 miles for a vibration /shudder on light acceleration & at steady speed they flushed and drained the transmission 3 times .

So we did both of these two things before going to the track so I don't know which one did it and or how to resolve the issue any suggestions would be appreciated.

Going to be tough to prove. I have GM CAI and didn't notice any less performance than with the Rotofab. The service guy said they have some complaints about the GM reflash and to let them know. I can't tell any difference other than intake sound is different.

Looks like going from a 1.8 to a 2.1 60ft is what killed your 1/4 mile Et, the Cai probably gave you more power now your spinning more. Did you lose or gain MPH ? that is the tell tale

If the mph dropped then it's def slower. I have the GM intake along with an axleback exhaust for now and it doesn't feel slower at all. Get the 60 ft to 1.8 so we can at least try to compare the apples to apples.

The vid below is the CAI which is the GM intake and it def showed gains.

That video doesn't make use of a reflash, however, so the tune could be the problematic part.

If your 60' is slower and you're not spinning, then you lost some torque down low.

MPH has fallen off as much as 4mph at the 1/8th kind of making it up on big end 1/4 mile times are about 2-3 mph slower now.

If these are losing horsepower that would be quite amazing.

One worry of the system that I've been wondering about is the impact on IATs. I wonder if this is bringing in hot air.

Is it possible that this system could be more prone to heat soak and increased iat's than the stock intake? I would love to add a bit more power and maintain the factory warranty, but I'm still not sold on this intake. This isn't the first post I've seen here regarding a potential loss of power. It also seems that all dyno results of aftermarket intakes are done with a fan blowing in front of the car with the hood popped, which isn't a realistic display of actual power being made. I get the fan is to simulate the car being in motion, but who is driving around with their hood popped? If there was actual proof that this mod produced atleast 10 whp I'd be sold, I just don't feel the price is worth an engine dress up piece. There also hasn't been much info regarding what parameters the tune actually changes and whether or not it's actuallly necessary.

A couple of members have posted on this - the only change is the table for MAF reading vs. airflow, so the ECM gets actual airflow measurement with the new intake.

Also, the hood open does nothing for this intake unless it is heat soak related, as the top is closed. Comparing this intake to the factory intake I don't see any reason to believe heat soak should be any worse than with the factory intake.
