Question 2014 lt2 Camaro burning oil?

Hey guys I have a 2014 v6 camaro with 3000 miles on it and the dip stick is reading 1 notch on the stick do these v6's burn that much oil!? Have you guys been experiencing the same burn? and I'm supposed to get it changed at 5k?? ha what a joke. my dealer actually told me to do it every 4k and they throw in an extra change to cover the 20k miles which is cool.

I do drive the car. push it a bit.. should I still be babying it?
Does anyone know the stock oil they are using on these v6's?

Does a catch can void any warranty?

Thanks guys!
