Intake backfire after z28 cai install

So i installed my new gm z28 cold air on my l99 2015 (very easy i might add) go and fire it up and let it idle for a few seconds and snapped throttle a couple times and BOOM a single backfire thru the intake. scared the you no what out of me. Took the car for a ride and seems ok. Any ideas why it did this? Car is bone stock otherwise

Probably needed time for the ECM trims to catchup to the new intake, so you were probably running a bit lean. As long as there are no air leaks you are fine.
