I built this chopper 12 years ago, from a Yamaha Road Star engine and frame. I finally took it out of my living room after 5 years and rode it around town last summer.

I also converted my DR 790 Big Bore into a super motard. which my son likes to ride.

Last pic of Friday's ride.

If we were just listing "cars I would like to have" then I think we could all just keep going and going.

However, from a "cars I could potentially own/afford" mentality...

1. Nissan GTR R34
2. Nissan GTR R35
3. Nissan S13 drift car (pop up headlights)

Other than that, I have to say that I am very happy in my Camaro. I realized just how happy I was with it about a month after I bought it when I was on the freeway and I came across a white (my fave color) GTR R35 and for the first time ever, I did not feel like "man, I hope I can have a car like that someday". I was completely satisfied sitting in my white 1LE.

Been riding for 23 years: sportbike, cruiser, dirt, enduro, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Harley, KTM. These are my current steeds and while the list of desired upgrades is long, I don't currently have a desire to change bikes.

In a ZL1 1LE you probably could have run him - and won!

I don't like losing to cars < $100k (except vettes)

[QUOTE=Snowwolfe;10922088]Love bikes. Rode accident free for 45 years. Then this past September someone decided to run a red light and hit me and my Z900 from behind after I had just made a left turn. Crushing my right scapula in the process. Long hospital stay, 3 plates, 12 screws, and three months later still cant lift my right arm up normally. Made a promise to the wife no more. Still have one to sale. Hope your rides are safe. But when people start running lights and hitting riders from behind there is no way to protect yourself. Luckily I was well dressed in safety gear.[/QUOTE

I have been riding for 40 years I'm 50 now, one week and a half ago a 90 pound bull dog tried to cut me off, I had all my gear on, alpine boots, 1st gear winter suit, Alpine gloves and shoei helmet. I was probably doing 45 or so, I raised my left leg to kick him and I did, I broke my fibula bone, I had surgery yesterday, I should recover, I saw on news the other day a young teenager female was sitting home watching TV, a car ran into the house and killed her ! I only rode about 1000 miles the last year and a half, the ZL1 has spoiled me me plus I have a LS chevelle. I dont know if I will stop riding, But you are a little safer in a car, but people loose there lives there also. I just want to grow older, play with grandkids one day, and continue to serve the Lord. What ever you do ,do it safely, and even then it's not promised that a plane will not land on your house ! Texting, wild hogs are here in Texas and crazy driving is here !
By the way check out Unhinged with Russel Crow, it will make you think again about rode rage ! 1-10 It's a 10 !

Amen - except for the "grow older" part. if you're looking forward to growing old you need to read the last chapter of Ecclesiastes.

You're far safer in a car, no doubt about that, but nothing compares to the feeling of freedom and connection to the road (and your surroundings) you get on a motorcycle. Cooped up in a steel box is a completely different experience.

Especially on a twisty two lane mountain road away from the idiots/traffic. If you're riding in congested city areas you're wasting your time on two wheels, unless you're "650ib" shooting another freeway "smackdown" (see above).
