What exhaust should I get?

2016 Camaro 1ss. Should I just buy the Chevrolet made cat back on their website? Or go a different route? Will my dealership install an off brand exhaust you think? My warranty just ended.

Dealer will install anything you pay them to.

Get the exhaust you like?

I'd recommend going to a place that depends on their reputation to stay in business to installing exhausts and doing quality welding work. Rather than a dealership that doesn't depend on any of that to stay in business.

One thing to keep in mind with exhaust for these cars is that they have a really big trunk and it's really really empty and devoid of all sound deadening (there is a ton of space behind the false carpet walls). It's very easy to hit the right resonance frequency to reverb the entire car body (drone). If you dont have the time or patience to deal with resolving that, you may be left with just the oem options or expensive kits that have been tested on your specific trim options (npp or non npp v8, with or without secondary cats etc)

I am really enjoying my Borla S-Type, not to obnoxiously loud, good idle and a little deeper sounding (at least to me) than the ATAK. I have the axle-back.

S-Type definitely deeper than ATAK, but not as loud

+1 I just got this to replace the stock (non-NPP) exhaust. It sounds PERFECT. Just loud enough and man, does it sound good! Zero drone. I'm guessing it will sound better than Chevy's performance exhaust. Do not have a dealer install an axle back. Go to a shop that does tons of them.

I really like the sound of my MBRP axle back and it didn't break the bank to purchase it

I'm still waiting to get my Borla ATAK NPP exhaust. $1600 is difficult to swallow.

Another vote for the Borla S-Type. I have the axle back as well.

I have the V6 and im doing the flowmaster. If money wasnt an option I would have probably gone for Borla. But Im having this installed with black tips for all under $400 so I dont even care.

I've been putting it off for over 3 years at this points, lol. Bought an exhaust for the Miata the first week I had that.
