Jba headers

Has anyone tried this brand out, I've never heard of them before. Seems like a good deal, thoughts?

JBA has been around for a long time, they were known for their shorty headers options for many years.

At that price you might look at Texas speed. I’ve seen a lot more about TSP than JBA on this forum.

I agree, I see alot more about Texas speed, but these come with a wideband bung and are coated to prevent some heat. Never even heard about them untill yesterday, crazy, lol. That's good to hear, ty tjay.

409 SS vs 304 SS. I think KOOKS has a lower cost coated 409 option too now.

I have a set of JBA's on a 06 Mustang that I put on in early 07, I have never had an issue with them. As others have said JBA has been around for a long time, fit and finish should be good.

I didnt know the difference between the steel untill you said something and I looked fit up. That's a valid point, I'll look into kooks "different" header and compare. Thanks for the info

But in California (CARB) that opens up a whole new can of worms.

But, hey, put the OEM manifolds back in during a long Saturday and its all good.

Other than dang near every LT header system out there requires you to cut the stock system in order to install them.

I emailed jet hot about their headers, they aren't available with hi flo cats, and they have to get order them from kooks, so they are going to get back to me on the price. They also said corrosion isnt an issue since they are coated. I swear I read that 409 cools faster somewhere, but I can no longer find it, maybe I dreamt it hah. Just wanted to let you guys know what I've found out so far. Jet hot is kooks headers with the 409 steel instead of the 304, and coated with well jet hot hah.

I’ve installed a few sets of the JBA headers in my time. Mostly on Mustangs. I always found them to fit great and had a nice quality finish as well as a nice meaty exhaust port flange to help with gasket retention.

Take the entire exhaust system out, replace it with your favorite aftermarket full exhaust. Then if necessary the entire OEM system can be re-installed, intact.

It would cost more money up front. But it would make it easier in the long run.
