HE'LL NO!!!!!!
I fell I love with the concept back on 06.......I actually only like the 10s ~13s, that's why I had to get my 'vert as a left over 13 back in April of last year, Chevy has flat out ruined the looks of this car starting with 2014 model. I guess I got too attached to the first gen5 models, this car that I have now is perfect....I ain't gonna get rid of it just so I can be showing off in the next newest thing....

I can lock at it this way....they got a 7:?? At Nurburgring from a Z28 on an alleged aging platform. If this new 6 gen platform is all that the ATS has proven, plus adding some of the technology from the ZL1 and Z28.... this thing could be a beast. On the other hand....it also shows me the gen 5 is no slouch. We'll see. Mine is paid off this year....I guess there is no harm in owning both.

I'll either get the 6th Gen SS or get a 5th Gen SS at a good price! All depends on the pricing!

I would if I could keep my 5th gen. Next car will be a vette after I buy a new 6.2L Silverado and pay off my house so maybe in 20 years.

I should have bought a ZL1

Then I buy a new ss top of the line for about 50,000-60,000. You're looking at a rough 30k bath. I'd rather keep what I have and put a few more thousand into my gen 5 to make it how I like it then pull a 30k+ loan for the next 3+ years. Know where I'm coming from?
Yup. I'm on the 10 or 15 year plan, so 7th gen will be what I'll consider. Or a used 6th gen. Really hate depreciation, and hate is a strong word.

Probably not anytime soon. Have 5 years till I can retire and want to get the house paid off first. And of course there is the mandatory Harley upgrade every three years...is it an upgrade if you don't get rid of the old one?????

Not likely.
Not digging the spy shots and renderings.

6th gen looks too soft.
It lost it's '60s styling attributes and I'm not liking that.

I would have thought GM would have learned something after the 2004-2006 GTO debacle. If you want to use an iconic '60s muscle/pony car name, the damn car better look like the original iconic car.
The 5th gen Camaro led me to believe that GM learned their lesson, but they might have forgotten it with the 6th gen.

Besides, the pricing will be a lot higher. State of the art chassis, lightweight materials, lots of electronics. I bet an SS could easily be optioned up to, and maybe even over, $50K.

I'll reserve final judgement for 5/16.

The news from yesterday is the first time I am interested in the 6th gen, but I love the 10-13 exterior styling. Based on photo's so far the exterior of the 6th gen does not interest me much. The performance and features for a SS are nice, but nothing to make me want to jump ship. Also, not sold on the LT1 engine yet. My next "upgrade" will either be a Whipple for the SS or a nice daily driver.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

No, definitely not. Between the money I've already dropped into this one, and my current payment level, I'd take a bath and be paying a lot more a month just to get the hot new car. Plus, I'm at the point with my car that I'm more worried about fine-tuning the suspension than making big changes to it, and that level of customization won't be available at first.

I'm either getting a zl1 5th gen or an ss 6th gen haven't decided yet... once I see what the 6th gen looks like I'll know for sure.

But I am no longer going to be driving a v6 come next year.

No plans to at this time. I will be keeping mine a for few years after it's payed off. My next car will be the 2016 CTS-V. I need a new four door due to the G8 getting long in the tooth.

I leased my 5th gen for 2 years (my company car). I don't know if I'll get a 6th, a Caddy ATS or a Colorado.

or a Jeep GC.

Now that I am retired, my car sees about 20 miles a week on the road.

I really couldn't justify selling or trading off a car that sees that little use, especially to buy essentially the same basic thing.
