Burning Clutch Smell...100 miles
Apologizing up front if there's a thread already out there - I don't want to dig around.
My car currently has 140 miles, and I've been smelling a burning clutch since Mile 2 (Just started driving it on Sunday). I have many years of experience (Jeep) with manual transmissions and haven't had this burning smell before. Is this normal as its brand new?

Normal, memory serves, it took around 400 miles or so for the smell to go away.

I'll help you feel better like all the others! This is normal. Not to worry. I'm the kind of guy that likes saving brakes by downshifting when coming to a stop. This is where I smelt it most. But it has since gone away for the most part. 10,700 miles... No clutch issues.

I suck with clutch (on hills, yes even with hill assist <-- btw don't like that) and sometimes I don't shift properly and the smell of DARN IT shows up. I will say that is the only time I smell clutch.

I smell mine once or twice a month at random times. 8k miles, and no problems.
