Colder plugs, bad idle

My car is tuned, lower pulley and they also put Brisk RR14s plugs in it. (gapped between 0.027 and 0.031) Since that the car has a bad idle every cold start. Missing and surging. The colder, the worse.
Here the link to the video took a few weeks ago, check the 29sec, and the 42sec mark:*

I changed the plugs today and put the stock ones back in (gapped to factory specs 0.040), to find out if maybe the colder plugs caused this. And sure enough my idle is back to normal.
My question now, am I risking burning a hole in my pistons running the stock plugs, or should I better go back to the colder plugs, and suffer a little driveability when cold.

Might want to talk with your tuner about that. I changed my plugs to the NGKs and have had no problems after a good tune. My first tune was not so good. Car would idle low and sound as if it was going to shut down. Then at times the car would buck a bit at certain RPMs. Once I took it to another tuner, it all got corrected and the car is outstanding.

This. Did that to my SS after installing the Whipple. No problems at all.

That sounds like fueling isnt correct. After it warms up some it goes into closed loop and 02's will correct fueling. If VE table isnt dailed it it will act crazy.
