racingbrake.com "High Temp" rebuilds

I have reached out to RB Performance Brakes for "High Temp" caliper rebuild kits for the (4) four piston SS Brembo F & R OEM brakes. They have expressed an interest in designing High Temp dust seals/boots and stainless cut pistons for our 27.5 x 42mm size front pistons, as well as the rears. Please express YOUR interest in these products as well, to have them move forward from design to production!! PM, DM, Email "Warren" at RB. I'm looking forward to trying this upgrade...

info@racingbrake.com (Attn: Warren) or PM/DM "RacingBrake" on Camaro6... remember SS/SS-1LE have the same rear calipers so there should be some joint interest.

Hey,

What do you expect the fitment and cost to be. Aftermarket replacement parts can sometimes be a shaky fit. Let us know your experience!

Have you decided if I'll be seeing you at Club Motorsports in May?

Thanks Soon,
Shawn

Hey Shawn... Fitment should be spot on!! The cost should be right in line with the other sizes that are already listed:

Pistons- $60 (2)
Inner fluid seals- $32 (4)
Dust boots/seals- $34 (4)

I do have the Club Motorsports date pending on my calendar for sure... I'll PM you my cell

are the front and rear pistons the same size? Aren't the rears exactly the same calipers for all those that have the 4 pistons in the back including the ZL1 and ZL1 1LE?

This is the latest on the "High Temp" rebuild pieces and parts...

"Hello Scott,
Pistons are in stock.
Dust boot required some re-work on tooling for fitment tolerance resulting from a fitment test (about 2 weeks ago). New sample shall be ready in about 2 more weeks when I will let you know as soon as the test is complete and available so we can release the kit together.

Thank you for your patience & Happy New Years.

Warren"

UPDATE:: Good news!!! I have received pics of the revised dust boots in their fitment test, and glad to share with you that they fit perfectly onto the OE calipers! So the parts are being released immediately into an expedited production, and they shall have those boots in stock in about 2 weeks or sooner! Here are some pics showing the SS pistons (Stainless steel) and dust boots (High temp- Blue) installed in OE (4) piston calipers!

Nice!! I wish I could upgrade too. But I think my six piston set-up will come standard on my next model Camaro though

The more I look into upgrading to a 6 piston setup, the more I think no way.

Looking at the cost of consumables, brake rotors for the 4 piston brembo are about 40 bucks each on Rock Auto. That's about $240 for three sets. I seem to trash rotors after about 3 track events, where deposits get so bad that the brake judder is a PIA. Pads are cheaper too.

I think this product is a great idea. I've never had a problem with braking or boiling with the stock 4 pots.
