Header Fitment with Borla X-Pipe

Hi everyone,

Currently running a Borla X-Pipe w/ secondary cat delete (60606) to a Corsa Xtreme and wanting to add catless long tubes. Do any headers besides Borla bolt right up to the X-Pipe, or am I going to have to cut & weld? I'd rather not hack apart the Borla X-Pipe if I can get headers that bolt right up, but my research has been fruitless. Thanks.

Headers to borla

I just put headers on my 2017zl1. 2 inch kooks with off road pipes. To my 60606 borla x pipe. Drivers side is easy. With the straight pipe. The pass side we had to cut the off road pipe in half and rotate it 180deg. Then re weld.
But it turned out perfectly with no cats I put the borla resonators on into the factory suitcase. I love it. I had on the corsa xtreme. Was to loud for me. Good luck. No cutting of x pipe.

Since there is not actual connection pipe on these cars you'll have to cut and weld. It's actually easier to add headers to the stock exhaust since they are designed to cut and clamp.

Thank you. Is it easier to cut the connection pipes that come with the headers? Also, which headers do you recommend for the car- Corsa, Kooks, Speed Engineering, TSP, or Dynatech? Would prefer not to spend Kooks/Corsa money but will do so if there is a clear advantage.

Honestly the aftermarket stuff is extremely difficult to cut through. If you don't have good blades you'll be cussing up a storm.

The TSP headers offer really good bang for your buck. Kooks quality and fitment is hard to beat though. As far as the exhaust goes sound is subjective so find what you think sounds best. It's all pretty good quality.

On my car? I really like the Stainless Works headers. They are waaay more money but they come with a full X-pipe. So they replace all the necked down parts of the exhaust with a true 3" Xpipe. If you decide you need more volume down the road just about any axleback will bolt right up.
