SS to Z28 Axles?

2010 Camaro SS LS3

Already swapped the differential to 3.91 from a 1LE. The axles and hubs are stock. I have the Z28 outer hubs (25954415) to install. Would like to purchase Z28 axles before GM discontinues everything. Can anyone confirm this setup will work?

Thanks,

John

Per THIS THREAD, as long as I understand it correctly, it should work.

They will fit. I have the Z28 hubs and axles. I found both in stock at GMPartsGiant.com

You might want to order ASAP though, cause one side is discontinued.

why z28 axles? why wouldnt you go with another brand?
I plan on swapping axles when I rebuild my diff and cradle bushings, any info that would help my decision is appreciated!

bottletalk,

For me it came down to cost. Aftermarket was way more expensive. I plan on a cam swap in the near future and wanted to upgrade the weak 2010 SS suspension and driveline components. I don't race or track the car, but with my car approaching 100,000 miles, I figure the Z28 axles would be a decent "upgrade."

thanks snags18,
makes sense, have you upgraded your driveshaft or have plans on doing it? after I finish my rear end and get some coilovers in that's my next step. I don't track but I'd like to take it to the strip once I'm done so performance isn't that much more important to me then drivability and being reliable.....close, but I don't want to be the guy broken down after I let loose haha.
