SS to Z28 Axles?
2010 Camaro SS LS3
Already swapped the differential to 3.91 from a 1LE. The axles and hubs are stock. I have the Z28 outer hubs (25954415) to install. Would like to purchase Z28 axles before GM discontinues everything. Can anyone confirm this setup will work? Thanks, John |

Per THIS THREAD, as long as I understand it correctly, it should work.

They will fit. I have the Z28 hubs and axles. I found both in stock at GMPartsGiant.com
You might want to order ASAP though, cause one side is discontinued.

why z28 axles? why wouldnt you go with another brand?
I plan on swapping axles when I rebuild my diff and cradle bushings, any info that would help my decision is appreciated! |

bottletalk,
For me it came down to cost. Aftermarket was way more expensive. I plan on a cam swap in the near future and wanted to upgrade the weak 2010 SS suspension and driveline components. I don't race or track the car, but with my car approaching 100,000 miles, I figure the Z28 axles would be a decent "upgrade." |

thanks snags18,
makes sense, have you upgraded your driveshaft or have plans on doing it? after I finish my rear end and get some coilovers in that's my next step. I don't track but I'd like to take it to the strip once I'm done so performance isn't that much more important to me then drivability and being reliable.....close, but I don't want to be the guy broken down after I let loose haha. |
