Found another highly-rated wheel guy that will repair the wheels for $90/wheel. The only wheel I think is worthy of repair is the passenger rear wheel. I'd do that one and keep the savings vs brand-new ones.
Keep in mind the differences between these OEM forged wheels and the "reps" are weight, construction and quality. The forged wheels will hold their value better and perform better in every way. The reps also can't violate copyright issues so they won't have "Camaro" imprinted like these do. If you are planning on going very unique and powercoating these a different color, buying slightly curbs ones is the smartest idea. The discount on the wheels means I've already paid for a big chunk of the powercoating cost. Thanks for the continued interest. Most guys so far are new to wheels, don't understand why forged wheels are better, don't know the difference between these and the reps that look similar or just want black wheels. The ultimate buyer for these wheels will know what he/she wants. You can look through the classifieds to see that these wheels are often bought/sold on the forums. |

Decided to keep the wheels for this AX season. Gotta wait 6-8 weeks to get 19" wheels to my specs. Just got new Hankook R-S3's on them, waxed the wheels inside and out and going to have fun for a couple of months.
