My iphone 4 sounds great through bluetooth, of course it is not up to par with having it plugged in thru USB(best), just like how wireless isn't as fast/reliable as wired for internet connection. My recommendation is if you can use the cable do it, better and more reliable connection and have all the functionality and MP3 tags available, or else go ahead with the bluetooth from the directions above, it sounds good enough for me to listen to when I don't use my ipod touch for my music and want to listen to stuff on my phone.
I don't hate Apple at all actually , I have a MacBook Pro, iPod Classic, Nano Touch, Pod Touch, iPad, and I had an iPhone 4 but I threw it at a wall in anger and decided to get a Windows 7 Phone. I really miss a bunch of the stuff of my iPhone but the WP7's unique UI makes up for it. Also I would never buy an Android Phone lol the devices are too fragmented from each other to appeal to me.

My iPhone 4 rocks over BT. No quality degradation whatsoever compared to hardwired.

The notion that wireless would be less than hardwired because Internet access is that way is not valid. You see slower performance over a 2-3M wireless connection vs a 5-10M wired connection when transferring huge data files, particularly video - either transferring or streaming. So if you're trying to watch a video from your iPhone on your radio face plate over BT then I might believe you. (only kidding, the software and radio face hardware obviously don't support that).

But streaming audio/music over BT? That's like curling a one ounce candy bar. Bluetooth won't strain, not even close to any capacity limits.
The problem is not one of bandwidth but the fact that the A2DP profile is not a lossless one. Bluetooth could support a lossless audio profile. Hopefully that will become the standard in the near future.

Yea, it's a NEW THING that GM is trying out. Giving the users an OWNERS MANUAL to answer FAQ.

Does the iphone4 give you a2dp and handsfree at the same time? When I paired my iphone3gs for audio, it disconnected the handsfree profile. It was one or the other. I assumed it was because there are two separate bluetooth hosts in the car. When I paired another phone I had to a Parrot music kit, handsfree and a2dp worked concurrently.
