Be nice to just add a super charger and get 75 to 100hp gain without headers and all that stuff. But once you have to buy headers and then better tires and wheels i would go with a nice used ZL1.
Believe me, I was tempted. I looked over at the wife & she gave me this look... & here we are.

ADM has complete LT4 supercharger kits for sale with all parts needed for installation. That would be the better alternative!

Going down the rabbit hole of modifying your car is too easy and dangerous. Like crack. I said the Summit Racing catalog is off limits for me when I bought the car because I’d be broke and homeless..... but my SS would have 700 hp and a transmission, driveshaft, suspension, brakes, wheels, tires, and roll cage to handle it.

The smokeshow must go on, winter be damned

He does have a point about modding and the rabbit hole, though.

You could easily bolt a supercharger setup on and make stock ZL1 power for less then 8k. You could do a ADM LT4 supercharger setup pullied for 6-7psi and make 540-550whp on 93. You don't need headers, exhaust, intake, or throttle body at that power. Then if you wanted a little more you could install a flex sensor, LT4 fuel system, and make 600 on E85.

I don't see GM offering an accessory supercharger for full size SUVs. Just doesn't make sense as they won't sell many of them at all. Most full size SUV buyers don't care about that stuff.

As for an accessory supercharger for Camaro and Corvette. I could see that happening. Would be nice to have an accessory blower available with a warranty from GM. Ford has done it for years so GM is WAY late to the game.

Gas went up 30 cents last week. With Biden putting a choke hold on Oil. gas can be over 5 dollars by June.

They have their own warranty. We're talking about a GM Accessory with a GM warranty on it.

That’s what I found to do one right when re searching it down. I would be better off trading mine in for a zl1

That would be the way i go. 540hp would be plenty with what little driving i do on traffic clogged roads.

Definitely not sure where you all got your numbers but my LT1 was $30,500 before taxes so even if I'm 15K in on a supercharger I'm still in 1SS 1LE territory.

What I was trying to get at is if GM had a kit to slap on an LT4 charger, tune, and maybe some minor fueling upgrades it would be cheaper due to them buying the superchargers and other parts in bulk and they have a lot more negotiating powers with the suppliers than the aftermarket does. If they could keep it to around 10K out the door I think it'd be a hit for those that want more power for their truck/SUV or for the Camaro/Corvette folks that didn't want to invest the money at the time for the ZL1/Z06 but got a good tax return this year. I'd also think a GM product would have a better chance at improving resale vs an aftermarket one.
