I would like to see the Edelbrock 2650 run a 7 or 6 in any car.

Its all good since we are a little behind the curve with the number of cars out there with our new blowers. Ebrock 2650 has been out a year but we will show our cards later. We do have a 5gen that ran 6.88@201 and 4.20s@160 in the 1/8 with our 2650 jackshaft if we are throwing in others like the mustang and ctsv3. We will be fine and we will prove our blowers are very competitive in this market.

I know for me and some others out there that are on the fence, the biggest advantage is no hood cutting.

I imagine with other components added plus additional tuning one could bring up the TQ numbers. Personally i would like to see the TQ numbers closer to the 675-700 range if my HP is gonna be in the 725-750 range.

If you are referring to Michael Talley’s miracle pass then thats on you. His car has a nitrous setup as well and that pass has 0 video or anything to back it up....
If you boys want to hang your hat on that, is what it is.

I hope to provide you and others with some data this weekend, I put my street tires back on so I can get back on the dyno without clogged cat converters as we had last week at Bowling Green Camaro Fest.

Those are all blower only. Unlike your car.

I could see the title going back and forth amongst the blowers. They are both very well designed. I don’t think either one is significantly above the other. They are both for real. Both have adequate intercoolers and use the exact same, very efficient, Eaton rotors that can make bigger power while running cooler than the previous generation. Supporting mods, fuel system, and fuel type is the biggest factor separating the two. I have to laugh when I read that one is 150 horsepower above the other. Heck, either one will destroy the rest of the drivetrain. If your in the market just get the one you like or the one you can get for the best price. If you don’t want to do a minor trim on the ZL1 hood get the Maggie. If you have an SS your good to go. Want easy port fuel injection opt for the Edelbrock. Maybe eventually somebody can figure that out for the Magnuson. It’s hard for me to picture port injection inside being ideal but anything is possible. Most would never need that anyway

Actually thats Michael Talleys car. There is no video of his run. The video provided is from a different day. Just a phantom timeslip. The car was going 9.1 at 118 and miraculously goes 8.9 coasting with a 7mph jump in 1/8 mph? His car does have a nitrous system on it...

That was a joke because people were saying he must be using nitrous. Do you really think that’s how you would show off your nitrous system? With a bottle setting under the hood? It was going faster than 9.1. He just didn’t make it public. He sent me pictures of 9.0 slips before he dropped to that last pulley

Yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve had a nitroused car, but I’m 100% sure it doesn’t mount there!

It seems like there’s a ton of back and forth here, but virtually every PD blower out there right now can absolutely kick ass (Maggie 2300/2650, Edelbrock 2650, Whipple 2.9). It took a couple of years to see a 1K RWHP Whipple, and I’m sure over time we’ll see some crazy 2650 numbers from both camps too.

Those of us who have actually ran a time and pushed the envelope know you dont pick up 7 mph in the 1/8 from a pulley swap... especially when you are already at 21 psi on the blower.

Believe what you want. He has TONS of videos of his passes but a crazy unicorn pass has 0 video. Enough said.

Kinda like you, traction is not a problem with a Magnuson on normal everyday street tires and ask Shizzy for a video and um??? Must of miss it as I rarely read your threads. No you see it is anybody else with a supercharged setup and normal street tires have traction issues.. but Shizzy and his Magi, all good WOT right from a standing cold start. As it is always Magnuson rules and it the only possible supercharger to run NO MATTER what build LOL, so feel free to post a normal street tire 0-60 real road run say 3.0 seconds or better and I'll absolutely be impressed. Better do it on this tread. This is a Magnuson vs reality thread, and clearly, anybody that does not have a Magnuson can't possibly go faster, no matter the thread form mild to wild, street to full strip. Nope, all other vendors and builds might as well pack it in. I BTW have no allegiance to any company.

I for one know the faster "street" Camaro is the one with the most money and time spent and is completely independent of what label is on the FI unit.... and even then it is not the best solution for any and all possible builds.
