As an SS owner, I love the options for all Camaro fans - the V6 with Borla sounds really good. The turbo option is great, and lots of potential for mods. I'm looking to get my wife one, with the secret desire to mod it myself!

I have been through this hearing to youtube for muffler delete on MRT, BORLAs and FlowMaster. Finally decided on the Borla S-type axle back system. Shipped and on its way. one thing that pulled me towards the Borla is that they are Drone free. I drove a friends 5th gen V-8 with a different exhaust to understand what is drone. At certain RPMs, we couldn't hear anything inside the car. It was so much vibrating inside. After that I decided to spend the extra $$$ and get the Borla.

Positive note: I-4 is an awesome car with lots of power and reduced weight. I wish the car was made with better sounding exhausts :-)

Note: I am no way affiliated to Borla. I paid the full price and bought from Phastek Performance :-)

This is the right attitude!

I apologise for the rant...

Stock. I'm too cheap to pay the going rates for what these guys are charging.

The stock exhaust sounds pretty damn good inside the car with the back seat down.

Flowmaster like the s-type but to pricey for an axle back.

Thoughts on the Bose system - I'm finding it great sometimes and poor at other times!
I suppose I'm overall quite disappointed with it!!!

If you get the GM performance exhaust installed at the dealer they include an updated Bose software calibration.

I leave mine switched off, I never really noticed a difference.

What's the deal with that? Exhaust - Bose ? Wouldn't all upgrades be free under warranty etc?

I chose the Borla S-Type but mine is a cat back. I absolutely love the sound. I have met a few of the v8 guys and all of them are really surprised by how good it sounds, compared to what they expected anyways.

It's a new calibration for the BOSE noise cancelling system to match the GM performance exhaust. You only get it if you get the performance exhaust because it's tuned specifically for the different frequencies. BOSE noise cancelling in our cars (if you have tech package) creates inverse frequencies through the audio system to cancel any frequencies that GM and BOSE deem unpleasant.
