Talking Cold air intake for I4 Camaro!!

Things are starting to heat up for I4 Camaro owners!!

Check out this release from Injen!!

They are using a one-piece sealed housing that will use their NEW Twist-lock System to attach their SuperNano-Web Dry air filter in place. ETA is a few months out for this version.

Sealed box:

The +34hp gain is impressive with just a bolt on intake!!

Some folks may call them out on those gains....42 ft lbs at the wheels from an intake is a very huge gain....

I doubt they meant to state at the wheels I can see that at the crank though the big advantage to a stock turbo is adding massive airflow only helps power.

It will be interesting once these intakes are in peoples hands to see some real world power numbers. Only time will tell.

Those are huge gains! I wonder why the factory is always lacking in this department? Chevy is smart enough to design a good air intake? Just curious

I speculate Chevy designs a vey good air intake, keeping to its goal of delivering a very quiet ride, probably because of a belief that most new car buyers prefer as quiet a ride as is possible.

I'm sure they thought about it but if they did proivde a better intake that would have decreased the gap between the turbo and v6. The v6 only has an additional 60hp and maybe 10 less pounds of torque. Chevy is leaving the power gain for the turbo to the after market. I think 275hp and 295 pound feet of torque is a good starting point for after market community. Everyone wants to know what can be done and i cant wait to see some good results.

Turbos like to breath. Import world figured that out a long time ago. Those numbers do seem huge, but dam if they are even close that would be amazing.

My zed made like 230whp stock, it's still on the same turbos with every breather mod, intake, manifolds, pipes, intercoolers ect. It's been bumped up about 5psi to around 15psi and it now makes just shy of 400whp on pump.
