What is everyone using for a rear drag pack?
Just wanted to get some input on picking out a rear drag wheel/tire setup for my ZL1. Supposed to go to Famoso next month, and would like to be able to hook reasonably well.
I’ve seen some guys using the 17x 9.5” Welds that Phastec sells. Those seem a little narrow to me being that the stock wheels are 11” wide. The plan was to probably run a Mickey Thompson ET Street R in a 305/45/17. It’s a little taller than stock, but I’m thinking should work well. But I’m undecided on wheels. Open to any ideas or opinions. Thanks guys |

Looks good. I’m undecided between these and a 17x10 Weld S71. The S71 is quite a bit more expensive. I was a little worried about putting a 305 on a 9.5” wheel, but it does appear to be the minimum width recommended by Mickey Thompson.

The price of those Welds is what scared me away. I like them a lot but $2400 more?!?! Nope...

The S71s I priced out were about $600 a pop. $1400 for the pair with shipping and tax. As much as I’d like that extra 1/2” of width, I don’t need think I want it that much.

I plan on running MT DRs on an extra set of stock wheels for the 1LE.
They make the exact size as OE. 325/30-19 These should actually fit on a regular ZL1 with a 11.5" MMR clone wheel. |

Have you considered the 17x10.5 RaceStars?

Who sells these? I thought these were made by Weld, but I guess not.

Used these on the front with the M/T sportsman S/R radial that actually handles really good for a skinny!!! Really good tire!

I like the S71 in beadlocks. 17x10. $2500 for the pair. With tires, looking at $3500 for the whole set up. Shit never stops man.
