Need help with Tire choice.

I'm done with the stock Goodyear's. They never seem to heat up enough with moderate driving and very hard to keep the rear from letting loose with hard acceleration. I currently have 750 wheel and I don't drag race but I do like to roll race once in a while. Also looking for something I can drive in cooler and or rainy weather.

I have 750whp and use Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, which is great on dry/wet track and street but not winter conditions <40F

PS4S is your best option. I am running them right now and have no regrets coming from stock GYSC3.

They don't like the extra 200+ whp I've got with my current setup in 1st and 2nd but there is not silver bullet tire that would without being 100 or less tread wear, warm and in proper conditions.

The PS4S aren't bricks when cold and will gain traction as they warm up to nearly GYSC3 levels. They PS4S also have no issues wet unlike the GYSC3 (very slippery in rain) This is the best suggestion I have if you want to operate in cooler/wet weather. You will likely get the same response over and over again, there is no better compromise tire out there currently.

Wow, you guys are having luck with them? I have them now and spin at any speed. I am near Tampa where we still have warm days (70s) and I still spin. Now looking into a Drag Radial. I know at regular psi DRs will still spin from a stop, but i hoping to gain traction from a roll.

Of course it is very tough to decide on a DR as well if you go that route. I have had a bunch of people swear by the Nitto 555r and then another group say they are not as good as the Mickey Thompson ET Street R tire. Guess i will have to go 17x10.5" rears and thinking 18x8" fronts

Oh they spin for me but they are the only tire you could consider operating on this car when the OP mentions cold and wet.

I'm heading for 345/30R19 NT555RII in the rear this coming year along with TBD in the front

I'm also in the PS4S camp. Just to be clear, which I believe others are chiming in with similar input now. The PS4S will break loose if you floor it in 3rd gear (possibly 4th depending on conditions) making 700whp+. But, they don't change near as much from extreme to extreme (hot vs cold) as other stickier summer tires, and also perform decent when it's cold or rainy. I'm only making around 675whp and 3rd gear can't be trusted for WOT...

i dont think there is a tire made that wont break loose cold wet or any combo thereof with a 600+HP car sorry. for driving in the rain and cold temps the best bet is the PS4S as will be the consensus among the internet. Do mine break loose, sure do when cold but like i said all tires will

I usually drive in Manual mode, and if I'm above 30 mph in 3rd and floor it, the 4S usually do not spin on warm dry payment

Went PS4S on my new ZLE. I believe they were 1-2lbs lighter than the SC3, and have a longer tread life (on paper at least) while still being a high performance tire. My only regret is not having a Goodyear that is “closer” to OEM.

I would try the 555r2...it's classified as a Drag radial but it is a much improved tire all around that still provides great traction. I don't think you can do better for a high horsepower street car. It has much improved wet traction due to the 2 large channels added in the tread pattern and a stiffer sidewall for better high speed stabillity. Now that doesn't mean you go out and drive spirited in a rain storm either but they will do fine if you leave the nannies on and drive normal in the event you are caught in the rain.

Any truth to PS4s running narrow for its size?

On the tire rack comparison tool I recall them being almost identical to SC3. The look like they fit the wheels well in ZLE spec.
