just shows you how damn good our cars are and built to last..very few issues compared to those joke mustangs aye?

I mean I'm pretty sure the batteries are just made by Johnson Controls, it's not like GM makes them

2012. Replaced battery fall of 2018. Was a preemptive replacement; engine/starter was starting to "drag" and it is wife's daily driver--can't have her getting stranded somewhere. After pulling battery, discovered case was beginning to swell; probably would have failed soon thereafter. I'd rather err on the side of caution.

2013 build date was late 2012. I put a new battery in I think in 2018 or 2019. It still worked but it wasn’t as sharp. For $200-ish it’s good to change it every 6 years.

2013 and have had 2 batteries and will be replacing again next spring. Barely started today at 30 degrees. Voltage was good but not under load. 5 year typical for my car.

2014 and replaced it last year with 53K on her. I agree with Royal Tiger though, ANY "weird goings on" could easily be a bad or weakening battery even though logic doesn't point to it(bad grounds too).

So my pickup truck was showing signs of a battery going bad I purchased a battery tester,
TOPDON AB101 Car Battery Tester 12V Car Battery Load Tester from Amazon and then tested the ‘15 Camaro out of curiosity (and just playing with the new tool) which was showing no signs of a battery issue and it runs the tests says to replace showing all the vital signs which aren’t good so I’m still skeptical thinking this 7 year old car has had to have the battery replaced (I’m the 2nd owner)
I check the battery date code and it shows 14/8/15 aka August 14, 2015 so 7 years 4 months and still starts amazing.
So it’s away for the winter on the Battery Tender and I’ll replace the Batt in the spring hoping the price drops a couple $$.

I'm guessing but i think the long battery life were seeing is based on it being located in the heat free trunk, and also insulated from colder temps with that styrofoam tire insert.
