A tune would pick up massive mid range torque, I know that for sure.
Would be interesting to see what the dyno numbers look like now that the ECU has had a chance to relearn with feedback from the TCM.

Wouldn't that be the numbers I posted yesterday?

I'll explain..

You stated the work was done 3+ months ago and your dyno sheet states November (16th?).

From your post that I quoted, it sounded like the TCM had pulled torque down but I attributed that to being after 3+ months of driving and the ECU re-learning during that time.

I made an inference that apparently I shouldn't have.

Having said that, I am curious as to whether or not that when mods are applied and immediately dyno'd if there is any increase or drop-off over time as the ECU re-learns and/or if the TCM has any input to the ECU in the process of re-learning.

Good question. At least we've busted the myth of the ECU re-learning for the mods and negating their effectiveness over time.

From my experience as a former automotive tech, mostly for GM, the GM computers have been relearning for years. They adapt to your driving habits. I laugh. My dad owns a 2012 Chevy Equinox. It’s in mint condition. My mom drives it mostly.
Anyhow, my dad complains about it being slouchy once in a while. So once in a while I’ll borrow it and take it for a nice long drive. I beat on it. Take it to redline here and there. Give her the boot at 60mph so it’s gotta downshift aggressively. You get the idea.
Next thing you know my dad will comment on how his Equinox seems to have a rumble and the air must be good cause it feels real peppy.

That ain’t why. It’s cause I just beat the shit out of it for a couple hours and the computer is anticipating to get beat on some more. So the tune is more leaning towards high torque high hp and high rpm use.

It felt like a slouch before cause my mom leaves the stop sign at about 3% throttle position and it’s anticipating a shift at about 1500 rpm. Pretty much no load on the engine. So.......after a couple weeks of driving like this the vehicle drives like a slug.

If you don’t believe me then for those of you who have a GM car that is driven like a slow poke, go out and beat on it a couple hours and report back. You’ll see. It’ll be more aggressive.

My vehicles I drive have an aggressive tune. No I don’t beat them constant. But I’m not afraid to floor the go pedal and hold it there. Especially passing

That's a real thing. All of my vehicles will generally see WOT or close to it every time I drive/ride them and strangely, all of them have always put down strong dyno numbers.

Great info! Is this the case with Dodge, Ford, or any other Manufacturers?

The ECM must be OK with my minimal "no tune" mods as I routinely kick the crap out of stock LT4s (pulling many lengths in straight sections) on track after a few thousand miles. I'm sure the words of wisdom of naysayers hold great merit just because they say so.

When I worked for Ford in the 5.0L foxbody heyday it’s seemed that way. For Ford anyways. My friends that didn’t like hammering on their Mustangs were always slower by a lot actually. And those Stangs, and they were like friggin bellybuttons there were so many, loved being hot. The engine temperature hot.

The hotter they got, the harder they seemed to pull. All my friends Stangs back then were like that. Some of my friends in the early days tried different t-stats to cool them down. It didn’t matter. The ones that had the original t-stats just ran harder when they were hot.

As for Dodge, I can’t really comment as I don’t know if their systems work like what I posted. I would imagine so

I don’t think anyone’s mentioned it, but I’m betting there was some throttle closure going on in 30 degree temps on the stock pull. These ECUs are sneaky like that. Whether it was doing the same thing before vs after would be my question.

Can you just disconnect the battery to start fresh from learned behavior?

When they filled in the dyno sheet, did they just randomly pick a number for the gear you were in? Weird they said it was 4th gear.

Sounds good. Are you happy with the Borla Xpipe + Resonator?

Any drone issues? I am all about preserving the stock axle back with NPP.
