Does this ZL1 motor look normal?

I saw a used ZL1 on autotrader with very very low miles and noticed something blue on the engine pic. Can someone tell me if this looks normal?

All I see is the blue plug wire boots, which are not really needed with the stock exhaust manifolds. I suspect the previous owner put them on to dress up the engine compartment a bit

Zooming in on the picture it looks like they installed headers which probably means that it has been tuned too. No way to tell if they removed the cats when they installed the headers. You will want to get a list of modifications.

Looks like headers, spark plug wires and blue "cool socks" on the wires

I just looked at this on Autotrader as well. It also has a Soler TC in one of the interior photos.

Alright, so which one of you Alabama boys owned this thing? Tell the OP what's been done to it...

Headers, plug wires, plug sleeves (blue), probably a tune. Check underneath to see if the cats have been replaced or removed. May have aftermarket exhaust work done. Possibly a TB since it has a Soler TC as they often go together.

These low mileage modified cars scare me. I would steer clear - Have service check to see if GM has blocked the warranty

Odd that with these assumed mods it has the stock air box, maybe it has a drop-in filter, hmm...

If I recall, I think it's been said that the stock air box is quite efficent with or without a drop in filter vs anything else.

OP: Car has headers so likely tuned and therefore no powertrain warranty coverage. IMO, avoid it unless they're offering a substantial discount.

Modding the stock air box by itself doesn't to jack squat for our cars. It only matters if you're making other mods AND tuning.

But I better trade for a civic because I don't know hat.
