I have been looking at the rotofab cold air intake for my 2021 LT1. Can I get some suggestions please if I am going in the right direction or not...

Yep you are in the right direction or get a Chevy Performance CAI to maintain your warranty.

I use a roto fab and it’s been great. Very good quality and fit. I’ve seen the GM ones too and those are also nice. Prob can’t go wrong with either one

I bought the GM CAI, if you do the install you can take it to your local dealership and get the tune that comes with it (verify with the dealership ahead of time to make sure). I had one dealership want to charge me extra, even though the tune is included in the cost. You do not need to get it tuned, but you are paying for it if you purchase the GM CAI.
I did not get the Rotofab CAI so I do not know if there is a tune available (probably not needed regardless). |

Don't think they really do much performance wise, but aesthetically they are much more pleasing to look at than that ole butt ugly OEM box.

They told me that is the only way to avoid voiding my precious warranty. |

At the same time, the install was easy (I managed to do it and am not mechanically inclined at all)... I actually enjoyed doing the work. I also went and did a ported throttle body afterwards as I built up my confidence while playing with the car. Maybe call around to a few dealerships in your area, let them know you plan on doing the install yourself and that there is a code that comes with the part for the tune. When you get the part right on the top page of the installation instructions there is the code and instructions for the dealership regarding the tune. |
