Lost bolt for securing M6 transmission cooler line

Hi everyone, yesterday I did a manual transmission fluid flush on my ZLE. To fit a ratchet onto the fill plug, you have to unclip the the transmission cooler line to get enough clearance, or unbolt the retaining bracket from the transmission. I did the latter.

Unfortunately I forgot to put the bolt back and I lost it! The transmission cooler line isn't fully secured now so I don't want to drive the car much until I can get it clamped back down.

Anyone know the part number for this or could tell me what size bolt it is so I can just get a replacement from my local hardware store? I was unable to locate the assembly by browsing on gmpartsdirect.com. It is pretty small, hex head, and didn't require much effort to loosen since it doesn't hold much.

Bought some random bolts from the hardware store to try them. It's an M10 <edit: M6>, but not sure of the correct length or what grade to get.

No, but it is right above the fill plug on the transmission.

I can confirm that a replacement bolt M10-1 20mm does fit nicely. I got standard 10.9 class steel but maybe I should replace with something else that may have better corrosion resistance in the aluminum transmission housing.

Chevy probably has it for 2 bucks. OEM bolts are always preferred...

I couldn't find the part number online. I doubt the dealer stocks such a random non-consumable part but I could try.

My point is these are new cars - every part is available at the dealership and currently, all very cheap since in production. It may take 48 hours for you...count yourself lucky - my last order took 6 weeks (to Germany).

I've used Superior Chevrolet in Kansas City for 15 years...Chris May figures it out every time. Ships overseas too.

No trips to Ace hardware should be required.

It appears to be Item # 6, 19352502, lists for ~ $3.50
This is for a ZL1, but they should be the same.
If you're not comfortable, send me a PM with your VIN and I can verify

Thank you! That looks like the part based on the drawing. I could not locate this drawing on gmpartsdirect.com.

Will PM you my VIN, thank you!

next time try to use a 2" extension. i managed to squeeze it in there without removing any lines, but it was a pretty tight fit. had to use a slim breaker bar. with a 1.75" extension you could probably use a proper torque wrench.

thank you for doing the digging and reporting back on the correct size bolt.
