Thumbs up *video* 12.12 @ 114 First time out - SS/A8 - 100% stock

No record breaking times, but considering the DA, I am very happy with the results. No doubt in our spring/fall air when it gets to negative DA it would go 11s.

Anyways, video & slips at the bottom if you just want to watch that. More thorough evaluation of the night before that if you want to read.

*slips go from left (first) to right (last). My last/best pass is in the video*

Headed over to our local track last Wednesday, Gateway Motorsports Park in St Louis (technically Madison, IL). The DA was around 2100 to start, far from ideal.

Pass #1 - All TCS/Stabilitrak off. Stalled it up to about 1000, left pretty well.
Pass #2 - All TCS/Stabilitrak off. Stalled it up to about 2000, spun a bit, bad pass.
Pass #3 - All TCS/Stabilitrak off. Tried stalling it 1500, still didn't leave clean.
Pass #4 - All TCS/Stabilitrak off. This time no stalling. Foot on brake, mashed it on green. Didn't work great.
Pass #5 - TCS off/ Stabilitrak in Competitive. Stabbed throttle, left pretty well.
Pass #6 - Same as above, time dropped a bit. (best 60')
Pass #7 - Same as above, time dropped again. DA was down to 1300. This pass was just 7 minutes after #6, so hotlapping doesn't matter.
*all passes were left in D

If I get another night where it will be somewhat cool while it is still stock, I will go again. I figured out how to do Launch Control, so I want to see how well that works at the track. I've seen mixed reviews here. Seemed to work alright on the street.

Good time, and looked like a ton of fun. You should submit those to the fast list.

EDIT: saw it's on there, found this post in new section.

Yup, seems pretty easy to go fast with these things stock. Would love to have ran in some ice cold air. Maybe I'll put it back to stock this fall and see what happens, if I've modded it by then that is.

Need to work on your reaction time.
Leave on last yellow, work on timing from there.
This is good .xxx this is not xx.xxx.
It takes practice, I was running twice a week for a month then was
able to consistently pull a .oo4 light. Of course I pushed that and started red lighting.
Good luck.

This was Test n Tune, I didn't care about RT. I was sitting there until I had the car where I wanted. When I need to win a race that matters, I will worry about my RT.

Rocket was referring to R/T which does indeed count time from green to you tripping the beam. Not 60'

BadBowtie, which drive mode where you in for these and was mag-ride (if equipped) set to match the drive mode or did you place it in a specific setting?

I did this and consistently had ~.3xx reaction time. Good tip that I read on this forum
