THROTTLE BODY ADVISE NEEDED!

I have a set of 2" catless headers going into a stock suitcase. A 14% lower pulley spinning a stock blower. A RotoFab Big Gulp. JRE will remote tune it.

My last problem is I can't decide on the TB. I have a NW 103, but that has to wait until next winter for the Maggie 2650. I'm leaning towards a LT5 TB with an adapter. But still, JRE, Soler, Pray, Katech, or who? What do you guys think.

JRE sells the LT5 TB w/ adapter. Soler works well also. Haven't had a Katech or NW but I'd assume similar. If you're getting tuned that certainly helps no matter which one you go with.

Why don't you just use the 103 you have?

I'm having the same issue on a deciding which way to go. I currently have a soler TB that is 87 that is ported to 91 from them .I still have it brand new in box never used.

I'm going to have Jannetty to do a tune and not sure if I just get JRE LT5 or get Soler TB that is 95mm ported to 100mm. Not sure if it would be to much air what do you guys think?

If you open the snout with porting on the supercharger I’d run a bigger Tb otherwise run the 87

In Jannetty JRE package he runs the 95mm TB and he doesn't do any porting of the blower. Does the 87 to 95 or 100 have no impact on HP?

Everything that we’ve seen shows no gain of the 95tb if it eventually necks back to 87mm when compared to a well ported 87mm.

So the Soler 87mm ported to 91 is fine for a non ported S/C

Ask Ted J what TB to get since he will remote tune your ZL1! He can advise you.

watch this video at the 21:00 mark to see if the TB is important for PD blowers.. I used a 112mm you went with 2" headers why not stay with the plan to make everything as efficient as possible and work the blower less.. Big TB, ported heads, ported blower, 5 inch intake.. 2 inch headers.. you will make more power and if that's not your goal you will make your power level with a few less psi and rpms which is always good.

So what I understood from the video is you can put bigger TB to get as much air as possible and tune it to whatever the car likes.

I always believed to big of a TB is not good because there is so only so much air that you can use and to big will choke the car.

Sorry if I don't make sense

It only needs to be so large, or flow enough, as not to have vacuum between the TB & the rotors.

This is 100% true but only if the blower is ported because it’s 87mm in there. I think you’re saying the same thing? The key is to increase the entire intake path even in the snout of the supercharger
