Over the weekend I had the secondary cats removed on my 2ss. The car sounds awesome IMO and just wanted to share since im new to the 6th gen community.

Did you buy the kit or just have some fab'd up at a muffler shop?

Will emissions be an issue when it's time to smog? Not much of a mechanic but I would think the CATS are there for a reason.

Sounds really good! Did you go with 2.75" pipe or 2.5? Did they weld all the way around and did they have to drop the exhaust to do so?

They only had 2.5 and they had a flexible tool to make sure the pipe was welded all the way around because it is in a tuff spot. Also they left the exhaust on the car and just cut the secondary cats out and welded the straight pipes in place while it was on the lift

Thanks for the feedback! Sounds like a great way to get a bit more sound/growl from the NPP without breaking the bank. Do you know how big each section of pipe is that replaced the secondary cat? Do you think two, one foot sections would be enough?

I agree with you there. I just want some more growl from sport/track and it be quiet when I need it to be.
