Mine is at the dealer right now for the same problem as well as erratic shifting when cold and an oil change. Was also told I have a recall on the rear suspension as well. Mine was starting to get fairly loud and lasting longer as the weather here in Michigan is starting to change. If they left it outside last night they're going to hear it.

I brought mine into the dealer and they changed the fluid. I picked it up, two blocks away it did the same thing on my first left turn. Drove it back to dealer and left it. Explained I want the vehicle fixed or GM can send their district rep to go over the issue. They are on the second chance to repair the vehicle. They ordered a diff, but they are on backorder currently.

I'm with you on the rear end noise. That can't be right and I'll be taking it back until it's fixed. We have a lemon law here that kicks in at 4 attempts at repair at which time the customer can request replacement of the vehicle.

I certainly don't want to go anywhere near that direction but I did have a Ford Explorer that went through 4 rear ends (once losing a wheel in the road) and I won't have that happen again.

I took it to the dealer and they confirmed the noise, however they stated that this is normal operation. They suggested listening to the corvettes as they have the same noise in the diff. I was told not to worry about it but it does make me cringe when it happens every morning.

There have been so many threads on this over the last year, lol.
It's an extremely common issue. Mine still does it even after they put a brand new diff in mine. Again, only when it's cold out.

Even after a new Diff is put in the same shit is happening. This can lead to many unnecessary trips to the dealer and they need to put a end to this and find a final fix. There must be about 10 threads already with the same issues and its funny how some dealers think this is normal because its happened before to past Camaros and Corvettes. Please understand this is NOT NORMAL GM! Get your crap together and find a F'N remedy for us effected!!!!

The dealer flushed my diff three times after they replicated the noise last month and it hasn't come back so far.

My car is picky and sure it's with other camaro's as well. It just does not like a start and go.
So you think idling your car warms up the rear end, interesting.
