What competes with your Camaro for your attention?

Well I'm at somewhat of a crossroads here. Last year I started doing some travelling. Now I have always travelled for the past few years. But only like once a year. Last year I got my passport and treated myself to 4 trips out of the country. This year so far I have been out of the country 3 times and I have a 4th trip planned for the end of August. And the thing is, I'm starting to enjoy travelling more than my cars. I never thought I'd be saying this about anything in comparison to my cars. But here I am. So I'm at a point where my lease will be up on my Hellcat and I'll have some equity in my ZL1. And I'm seriously considering giving up both cars and travelling once a month. Weird I know.

Maybe this whole travelling thing is just a phase I'm going thru. Maybe it'll fade. Maybe I'll get bored of it. Who knows? But what I'd like to know is what else out there gets your blood pumping either as much or more than your Camaro? What passions or hobbies do you have that you enjoy to the point where you'd give up your Camaro if it came down to one or the other? Just curious. And I'd like to know if I'm alone in this sentiment or if others are experiencing the same thing.

I really enjoy woodworking. Kinda sharing both at the moment. If I didn't have the Camaro, I could get lot more tools. Same goes for the tools, without them, I could get an higher end car or enjoy modding it a little more.

I think it is a matter of phase, at some point, I might end up stopping one or the other to start a new thing. It's all about being interested in doing something; the day I'm getting tired of doing something, I won't keep pushing, I'll just let it go and move to something else. Nothing's worse than striving on something that you don't enjoy anymore.

Get rid of both cars, travel, and once you feel the urge to get another performance car, go for it. You will enjoy it more.

I love sporting clays....skeet shooting.
On a more serious note aging parents take up a lot of free time.
I will say that at least for time being, my free time passion is figuring out my next modification for my Fifty....
I have smoked tail lights and third brake light on the way from wildhammer..... I already snapped in the smoked side markers....sweet

Life in general......
Family things, business travel (far too much lately), our other cars, motorcycles, home maintenance, and 3D printing projects.

I have had many interests in my 71 years, mostly motorcycles. I have found that having too many other interests leaves me with less time for all of them. I have always had the desire to have the ultimate "muscle car". Now after having had two in a row it's finally dawned on me where my true interest lies at this age. I still have some other interests, like fishing and the shooting sports but, the Camaro always brings me back to the one most special. Just 2 weeks ago, after some serious thinking, I sold my last Harley Davidson after riding and owning over 35 of them over the last 55 years. But, I found out I surprised myself, I am not missing it.

It may take you some time also exploring other interests, before you land on that one that always comes back to you. Life as you know, is a journey with many turns. Just don't be too quick to off something you love now, because you just might come back full circle, I did.

That's funny, I have owned and restored a number of Hondas large and small, but am slowly coming to the same conclusion as you.
I still enjoy riding but not nearly as much as I used to.
That said, I will probably keep the CBX around even if it is not street-licensed just because it is such a rare collector's item.

My ownership of Camaros on the other hand spans 50 years and I do not see my interest in them waning any time soon.
However my desire to customize vehicles in general went away long ago.

Just bought a house about 4 months ago so it's been mostly the house and tools for DIY and some woodworking. Also recently took up shooting and that's exactly what I needed; another expensive hobby.
