Damage to my car

I really can't believe how careless people can be...

So my car was recently damaged by some yard work laymen that are likely contractors for my apartment complex... they cut tree branches from above the car and dragged them over the side of the car. This car is 100% a baby and there is no way these a$$hat$ didn't do this.

Geico wants $501 to fix it...

Ideas?

Yeah pictures are bad. But that sucks. I know it might be a he said she said thing, but I would contact your POA and explain the car was damaged by the landscapers and you demand restitution.

Not sure what you're wanting us to see, but might want to dry it off first.

I looked really hard for a while and couldnt see anything, then read the comments and glad its not me lol. Dry it off and maybe better angle? But why are you paying for it and not the apartment complex? They should cover any damage by anyone they hire

I would DIY the repair. I feel for you man, had my car hit by a hose nozzle a couple weeks ago. I was able to get the ding out and buff the spot. Not good as new, but it's almost invisible now.

That would take 10 minutes and a porter cable DA to fix. Literally no problem at all for anyone with a minutes worth of DA polisher experience. Find a local guy and buy him a pizza to buff that out for you.

most of the issue isn't in jpeg and the quality of jpeg compression, but in the fact that you have a wet car.

either way, you'll be on the hook since you have no tangible evidence that anyone in particular did the damage.

It's pretty obvious the guys who did it aren't going to own up to the fact or they would have notified you instead of pretending it didn't happen.

Hell go to advanced auto and get your self some M105 Meguires compound and some microfiber towels, and you could hand rub all that out. I have rubbed out more with that. Or even the M205 which is finer and for less deep scratches. But please for the love of god dont run it through your insurance. They will ding you going forward on your premiums because you caused them a loss.

The rub marks are faint, but they're there.
