I worked at a Chevy dealer several years ago. A Silverado pick up came in with a blown engine and had a procharger installed by the customer on the dead engine. Dealership put a complete warranty engine in the truck and reinstalled aftermarket blower.

Great for the customer, but sucked on our end as tech had to do engine job for warranty labor.

You reinstalled his blower and never charged labor for that either?

Wasn't my job, not sure if tech got extra labor hours, only know job was done under warranty.

Amazing. Sounds too good to be true. This is surely a one-off. Dealers sometimes void warranties for catch cans

It's one of those YMMV situations. Subaru dealers have been known to replace STI motors with damaged ringlands on cars with upgraded turbos, downpipe, exhaust, E85, aggressive tune, etc. Other dealers void you for an intake that makes literally zero performance difference.
