Launch control on A10 ZL1

Has anyone played with the launch control? I usually launch from idle but a friend suggested setting launch control to 2400. I just wonder if I would get too much spin. I already get too much spin since I don’t have any DR’s yet

2400 will not work with the stock tires. You'll likely want around 1200 and 12% slip, but you just have to play with it, because it will vary with the amount of grip you are getting.

Launch control sucks with the SS, no additional setting like the ZL1 has. I spun my ass off the other night testing it. Can't find a setting for RPM and I have no clue what the default is.

That is an updated feature for the 19's. the 16-18 models dont have any user options for launch control.

My '18 ZL1 has it. But LC is a waste of time. Stock tires and stock car with it on I ran a best of 11.9 somethings.

All nannies off in Track mode 11.4-5. Same day and DA.

Also the ZL1 Line lock is pretty much useless. With the right brake/throttle touch you can wear down to the tread bars if you want in one sitting. Using the ZL1 LL is just too cumbersome to use for the burnout.

FWIW the 2019 custom launch control wasn't much use to me either last night. I tried it from 3000-4000RPM (M6) and all I managed to accomplish was coming off the line sideways and horrendous 2.5+ 60' times...

Need more practice but I think just an aggresive slip off the line without LC and all nannies off (I was running in Track/PTM Race instead of full off) is the ticket next time.

The launch control goes up to 2400 which is what I used. I hooked good on street radials with a 1.7 60’ no mods. 7.5 1/8 mile. I use the line lock with no problem

Person who replied has a 2SS, the SS models didnt get the ZL1's LC until the new facelift came out. The ZL1's had the LC since they came out in 2017.
