Am I a bad person?

After being cooped up with 3 kids in the house all week, I took the family out to Skyline Drive in VA for some sightseeing. The park is now free and pretty much empty. All total, the drive was about 150 miles round trip. In a Highlander.

About 15 minutes after getting home I told my GF I was taking the Z out for a drive. I put the top down and took a nice 40 mile drive. All alone.

I feel guilty. But then again, I don’t...

Obviously not. You did the good boyfriend thing and then did something for yourself. We all need to take care of ourselves as well as those we love. It's all about balance.

Why would you feel guilty? Driving isn't bothering anyone. That is the only thing keeping me sane right now. I try to go out for a drive very often in these times.

Last I checked being alone in a car doesn't give you or anyone else Corona Virus

I’m itching to get my new-to-me SS out of the storage unit and put the top down in Michigan. Last year they completely rebuilt I-696 between I-75 and I-94 in Detroit (cement), then after it cured they skim-ground the surface with laser guided machines to create miles of silky smooth road!
But first I’m gonna go leave some rubber on Woodward Ave in my old stomping grounds from the late 70’s!

I thought this thread was going to be about the virus and how you fail to see why they're talking about shutting the whole country down over it.

You're brave. I live in Roanoke and no longer have the nerve to drive around with my top down.

They say life is a balance, but it's really not. Much of the time as men, we spend our time taking care of others, providing for others, etc, so you still have to make time for yourself to decompress a little every once and a while. Its only selfish if you put your wants before that of your families.
