After reading that write up, I'm going to go for it. Wife's car is also new so no need to have an industrial grade orbiter.

I have the same line up of battery operated tools in my garage so adding one more won't matter. Thanks Glen

After using the PC, a HF 6", the GG 6" with 5" and 3.5" backing plates, the Flex 3401, and the Rupes 21 and Rupes mini, I just couldn't see the value in this 5" cordless polisher. It only has 1 speed, 3500 OPM with a 5mm orbit.

Can't do much correction work with such a low OPM and orbit. It would be ok for applying waxes or sealants, and might do extremely light correction work, but at $240, there are much better options.

For the price of the cordless, you could get a GG 6" with 5 " backing plate, and a 3.5" plate, all the pads, compound, and polish you need, to fully paint correct your car.

Plus you would have a machine that's capable of removing light/moderate defects, which the cordless clearly isn't capable of.

Ech20 is a better product in my opinion. Duragloss rinseless is a very good product with a great price, but Silica products are better than polymer based products, more gloss and for me it holds up much better in rain, keeps the vehicle cleaner.

You'll love it, it's all I've used on my Camaro since I got the car.

Do you guys tape off your windshields and trim when polishing? I assume so but haven't seen anyone mention it?

Some guys do .....I never have...... not that OCD. On a new car you're using finishing polish, it's more or less just a paint cleaner, very little abrasion. So therefore taping is just more of a time waster for me.

Finally had a chance to do the rinseless wash. Was driving the car on Wednesday and there had been some spotty showers so ended up driving through a few wet patches. So the dirt wasn't too bad except on the back of the car where everything ends up. Used the Duragloss rinseless. Wow, so much easier than using the foam cannon and washing and drying that way. So much quicker doing it this way, I'm hooked!. Ended up using 4 towels to do the car (16x16 towels). Probably could have done it with 3 towels. Definitely the way to go if the car isn't too dirty.

I thought part of it was to keep the white polish from staining the trim and rubber pieces?
