Ported TB Question
So I'm trying NOT to void my factory warranty but get a little more power with bolt-ons. Anyone know if a Ported TB will be something that voids the warranty? Thanks.

I just got a ported stock one from Soler Performance. I opted to have mine not engraved with any markings, so it looks completely stock from the outside. When it comes to warranty it's just like cold air intake and whatnot. They would need to prove that part caused your problem, but at the same time they could drag things out and make it hell for you. Nice thing is that it's a very comoflagued type mod, and can be swapped out in 10 minutes.

I also have a ported Soler, from the outside it’s a stock GM part @HCI2000SS Is even stealthy then that, but once it’s on not much reason to even pull the air tube and even look a it.

Keep your stock throttle body if your car needs to go to the dealer. To many people sell their stock throttle body for pennies on the dollar.
I have a Tony Mamo mildly ported throttle body from my previous C7 Z06 with A8. It did make a noticeable no lag 'tip in' difference (to me). I'm at 5,200 ft elevation so I lose some horsepower which the throttle body helped make up. I've confirmed with Tony that the throttle body will work just fine on my 2020 ZL1 A10 should I decide to install it. Tony says the same throttle body is used on a number of GM trucks and SUVs which is telling. |

As stated, keep your stocker and replace, takes 10 minutes, if you are going to the dealer for a warranty issue. A ported TB is a low risk mod. Does not add much on a dyno but it does, in my case, result in a noticeably sharper part throttle response.

I dont think PTB adds power, but my Katech PTB smoothed out the bog/stumble at low throttle.
I found the good dealer in may area and confirmed with the service guys that they wont tell GM about my Rotofab or PTB (if they ever have need to remove pipe and see the Katech logo). If I have a warranty issue I will remove both before bringing in car. I've never had a code for anything. |

Probably very minimal difference. Spend your cash elsewhere.

I could tell you that the Soler TC makes a difference in throttle feel. Wakes it up doesn't add power but gives it a nice crisp feeling that you can adjust. I also have the Soler TB but I haven't installed it yet.

Tony Mamo V2 on my SS....it really helps with driving the M6 in town, faster off idle response.

Solo Performance claims all the gains. I have not seen them on the site in awhile. Maybe they will chime in on this.
