2018 2ss purchase price
Dumb/newbie question: I have found a new 2018 2ss, with an MSRP of $47,275. Has slight hail damage(9 dime sized spots is all we could find in the collision center under LED lights.). They’re going to cover PDR and say their bottom dollar is $42,100. It’s new with 150 miles worth of test drive and a parade on it. They’ve had it for 6 months and “want it gone”. This is my first “car” purchase as I’ve only owned pickups. I’m used to getting 10k off MSRP when I buy a pickup, is it going to get any better than 5k off a car like this?

Especially not for a hail damaged car, though I wouldn't buy a new car with hail damage anyway. When I pay $40k for a car, it better be damn near perfect.

Really bad idea unless they discount it by a huge amount.

What color?
It is a year old used car as soon as the paper work is done...A trained PDR person may find more damage. You will always have to disclose the damage repair if you ever sell ( for a clean conscious). Sounds high to me. What's a used 18 with 5,000 miles worth? I'm thinking more like a 35-38 offer. In any case, have repair done BEFORE you buy. There is good PDR and bad PDR. |

To bad your in Texas. A local Boston Chevy dealer has a new Crush color 2018 Camaro 2SS Hot Wheels edition they are trying to move fast (end of summer clearance, here comes *winter). Hot Wheels, NPP exhaust, stereo and pedal package add-on’s.
Pictures below and the ad in today’s newspaper says ‘make us an offer’ (1st picture is today’s newspaper). Currently they have it advertised for $6K off ($49,560 msrp and sale price $43,560). Email them an offer $40,500. The ad says make us an offer. Would love to get it, but not in the market to upgrade yet. *FYI: Winter means snow / cold for you folks in Texas.

2018 SS price
I paid under $39,800 last November for my SS with a sunroof, Nav, MRC, dual mode exhaust, and Hyper Blue paint. I agree with everyone else. You should be able to get a better price/ find a better deal. If you are a Costco member, you should be able to get a Costco gift card to save even more.

BTW, last month I paid $42,000 for a 2018 2SS 1LE (with no additional options).

Similar situation for me also
I been looking at this 2SS camaro for some time now at my local dealership it has practically all the bells and whistles. Its pretty much my dream car and more. I was just looking for an 1SS because of budget at the time. However that 2SS has been sitting in the lot for months now. They arnt changing the price at all tho always the same price around 40-43K. Any possibility that the car can be 30K even? |
