Vendors: We need a real CF version of this
I'd really like to swap out my plastic dash for a real carbon fiber unit. Chevy's CF insert for the Corvette looks great I think a version for the Camaro would look even better.
The example attached is just a CF dip. I know lots of people are looking for real CF in their cars, and not just CF overlays. Surely there's a viable market for this? What do you think? |

I feel like that would be really cost prohibitive considering its a purely aesthetic piece.

I have an unhealthy attraction to carbon fiber... but even I don’t think that’s a great idea unfortunately. Would cost a fortune I would imagine?

Can't be much more than a CF splitter, and it's also less likely to get damaged. GM offers custom floor mats, arm rests, dash inserts, knee pads, steering wheels, etc.; you'd think they could offer a dash similar to the Corvette's option.

I'd pay for it.. I may take it over to Trufiber to duplicate.. looks like you can get it for 100 bucks on ebay.. I have them working on a lot of parts all ready they are just trying to wrap up on a mustang before they go full blast...
They have that dash part and center console for a stang, they told me the mustang people buy more than vette and camaro guys.. I can only assume its just feels that ways since there are probably more mustangs sold giving the impression they buy more CF parts.
