The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

My 2 cents...

I've purchased 2 sets of the ghost painted side markers from Oracle - one for my black 5th gen and a set for my husband's silver ice metallic 5th gen. They looked really classy on both cars.

I will wait the 2 - 3 months for the Oracle side markers for my 6th gen. No others that I've seen come close to the quality and style of the Oracles.

I agree. I want the markers to still be functional. Ya never know when that little bit of light might wake up someone on a cell phone.

The only reason I'd prefer a clear side marker over a painted white one, is that the side markers double as a reflector, whereas when you paint it, it no longer reflects.

And while I don't disagree with you, I do not have a white car. Clear reflectors on a white car might as well be ghost paint and will look great.
But other colors will look better with a painted reflector. Like other guys, I'll wait for Oracle to do their thing!

Thanks for sharing your experience, good to know you were happy with their product. Did you hear they were working on it, or were you hoping for 2-3 months?

I think the ghosted finish is the best of both worlds too.

Write Oracle, I'll link it below.

I understand your point if you are looking for the ultimate in safety. I think when you need a reflector though (at night) your lights are on and the car has a lot of visibility. Unless you park on the street overnight and you are worried about an idiot driving into your car I understand.

For those interested it wouldn't hurt sending Oracle a message asking them if they have plans to make the 6th gen version and that you are interested. I did. If enough people show interest maybe it will get bumped up on their schedule.

Read the thread, didn't seem like anyone answered the question of, does the "ghost" paint mean the light shines through the reflector or not?

----

lol nevermind... Saw the video!

Ya, the video starts off by showing the car at night with the ghosted reflectors already installed. You can see the LED strip built in and shining through. Then about a minute in it shows them in the daylight and they look like regular painted reflectors.

I see. I wanted to go back to my original post and and see if I could add a pole to see what style people like most but it's not bringing up the option. It's only there if you make a start a brand new post. I'll ask a mod if it's possible.
