Wow! I had tried Cup2s but they were BMW and Pcar specs F vs R and they didnt go any faster than stockers for me. So 19s are part of your mods too? Apex rims?
Congrats again. That's an uber time!

I don’t know too much about all the Cup2 variants. I want an opportunity to push them harder when it’s cooler to compare corner speeds. I’m running 10.5” Superspeed wheels with 20mm spacers up front. Gearing is better at TMP with the smaller overall diameter and wheels are much lighter than stock. Both should help laptimes so tire grip may not be significantly better than SC3s.

Got it - thx! Agree about the the gearing and weight advantage. Where did ya buy those tires and how much were they? Cheers!

$1,000 Kijiji tires with 400km on them. Not quite fresh takeoffs, but close.

Nice find! From what i understand PP2 Cup2s are the same as 350R meaning much softer and faster vs regular Cup2s. It will be interesting to see how they last ya. Cheers!

Are you saying that Michelin Sport Cup 2's are no faster than Goodyear F1 SC3's?

That is correct for the spec i had tried, which was in stock sizes and a mix of 2 specs F vs R, which was likely less than ideal.
The PP2 Stang tires, being the same (softer) compound as those on GT350R may be a different story, especially in a square 19 set up (more tire up front, better gearing, less rotating mass, plus quite possibly a stickier tire to start with)

I think you'd gain immediate pace going beyond Sport1 and allowing the car to rotate more freely without ESC.
Just an armchair type of comment and only if you're comfy to run without it. Cheers!
I am officially calling the ACR front tires a failed experiment for me. I know Coby has been setting records with them but even he warned me about running full sessions with them. I will now be running no more sessions with them.

Did you get any quick laps in before the tires gave out?

MSRH CW Lap 1:46.7

(My first post on Camaro6, so I hope this comes out ok!)

Track: MSR Houston CW Full 2.38
Elapsed Time: 1:46.7 (1:46.5 by transponder)
Model: 2019 SS 1LE
Date: August 23rd, 2020
Tires: OE Goodyear Supercar 3, OE size
Mods: Finspeed Evo Wheels (OE dimensions), G-Loc R10 brake pads, Motul brake fluid

(Note about time difference between transponder and PDR - I had the PDR finish line a bit later than track start/finish, so when I lifted off the gas after the track S/F, it was still a few seconds until the PDR picked up the lap time. Lesson learned!)
