Camaro SS A8 vs Mercedes e55 amg
What to expect in a race like this between these cars both stock? The e55 is ahead of it's time it being really impressive tbh

Drivers race. Advantage goes to the SS for obvious things (Weight, age, transmission). But jesus those AMGs are to never be slept on.

I wouldn’t want to race one in a stock SS. I don’t know what it is specifically, but German cars put the power down very well. Their numbers are deceiving.

A stock SS will beat a stock E55 AMG off the line, and I can say that confidently. Willing to put money on it. It's also not even a E63 which is the facelifted W211. Those E55's are very very quick, and are definitely not to be slept on, but when against an SS, I just can't see any other outcome. The SS keeps up with F80 M3's and F82 M4's (side by side, non-competition packs) and is side by side with E60 M5's, (Up until around 110-120 mph, because that's really where the E60 M5's V10 comes alive) and keeps up fairly well with the F10 M5. Before the SS I was going to purchase an E92 M3, but the SS just knocks the numbers out of the park. These are all cars I've had fun with/against in my own SS! Our camaro's are so much more european in the way they act, its awesome!
You guys have to hand it to your cars more! We're kinda fast guys

Hey guys thanks for the answers. anyways they were really tough close races but fortunately the A8 shifting really helped me out and I can say I beat the e55 amg over and over, it only got me once or so that's about it

I owned a 2005 E55 once. Bone stock I ran an 12.4@114mph. With bolt-ons I ran 11.9@120mph full weight and regular tires. I know some that have gotten much better times stock and modded so it'll be an interesting run.
