If I was oprah rich, there would be a GTR-Black edition in my garage next to my Camaro. (and my camaro would be in a much more modified state)

The GT-R is sick. AWD? Twin Turbo? Neck snapping acceleration? Yes please!

It's the highest evolution of a production car from asia at this time. (Barring perhaps the Lexus supercar.)

You can buy 3 1SS' for what you pay for a GT-R, it's really not a fair comparison. As for reliability issues, I read that they were adressed in the 2011 models, but I have no personal experience with the car other than seeing one in traffic and drooling at it.

As for the styling? It's love/hate. You either love it or hate it. I love it.

All that being said, the 5th Gen Camaro is still my dream car, and I don't have to be "Oprah rich" to afford one.

Used GTR's will be going for the same price as the new ZL1, so you dont have to be a billionaire to get behind the wheel of one.

Technically the USDM Infiniti G37 is "the" Skyline.

The R35-gen was renamed the "GTR", R34-gen and earlier was named Skyline. But, like the GTR being called Skyline scandal, some still call the Mazda MX-5 the "Miata" just because...

Lol @ AWD being training wheels. It takes just as much practice to launch an AWD car as it does a RWD car.

Actually it IS the Skyline... It is rebadged as the Infiniti G37 before it is shipped off over here. Get your facts straight. The GTR is not officially called the Skyline(look on the back of an R35 if you doubt this or look at a brochure), but this situation is similar to the Mazda MX-5 being referred to as the "Miata" even though that isn't it's official name.

Well, that's just a load of ricer talk. That's like Honda guys calling their RSX Type-S, Honda Integras, and rebadging their cars to be Hondas, from Acura. Or Nissan dudes rebadging their cars FairladyZ...Lol, sure. Ricers.

And that's news to me...When was the MX-5 ever not called a Miata here in the USDM market?

you guys arguing whether it is a GTR or Skyline. I lived in Japan in the late 80's and owned a used Datsun Skyline that I drove into a grotto. It was the friskier version of the Datsun Failrlady Z that I replaced it with. Some guys just like to use the term SKYLINE to sound cool like they actually know what they are talking about. The Nissan GTR is NOT a Skyline but it is one bad a$$ car no matter where it came from or what Nissan wants to call it today. I will take it over a ZR1 any day of the week.
