Strong wind noise at high speed?

I've heard about loud wind noises in the case of convertibles, but I've got a coupe and experiencing a similar problem. There's a strong wind noise when driving 70mph+, and it gets terribly loud at anything beyond 90. I believe it's coming from the roof, the front part (where the roof is profiled). The noise is very very similar to dirt hitting the fender. Is it normal? Have you guys noticed that? If not, any ideas what could be causing it?

I usually only take mine to high speeds on track, at which point the windows are all the way down and cause buffeting above 90. I installed Strano deflectors which help (they redirect airflow from entering the open window, but presumably this isn't your problem.

I don't recall hearing any noises at 70+ highway speeds with the windows up. Do you by chance have a sunroof? Otherwise I suggest you check the wipers, A pillars, etc to see if something is poor fitting or out of place.

Thanks for the response! The windows and A pillars seem fine, there is nothing obvious visually, and I used an insulating tape to see if there's any fitting problem but that had no effect. At high speed, I also used the wipers but the noise didn't change while they were operating.

I don't have sunroof either. At this point, it feels like I checked everything so I started assuming it's just a 'feature' of the shape of the roof's front. I'd bring it to the dealer (has warranty, '21) but I'm not sure of they'd be keen on checking it at 70mph+.

Not saying this is your answer, but for the record I had a "whistling" driver side mirror on my first 6th gen, a V6 car. It made the wind noise much more pronounced with a higher pitched noise at certain speeds, starting from 45-50 mph, I think (been a while). My current V8 is quiet with only normal wind noise, regardless of speed.

I don't know if this will help. But after I drive where bugs are they all hit the top just above the windshield on my Vert. I'm still on the first 1000 miles and only had it up to 80 MPH. of the big roads here. Also, you can kill a lot of bugs when they come off the mirror and hit the side windows. So you can kind of tell the wind goes the same places.
