You will want an 0W40 or (possibly) 5W40 Dexos2 oil. For 0w40, that means Mobil1 ESP 0W40, which has just recently been renamed Mobil 1 Supercar as well as another related name I can't remember that mentions European (see separate thread). The key is it has to be Dexos2 certified.

Never tried a road course but have run 1/8 drag strip on hot days. I would love to do road course but non close to me.

What do you regard as close? If you are in central VA, you have VIR (my home track) probably not more than 2-3 hrs to the south and Summit Point likely less than distance that to the north. There is also Dominion near Richmond.

Stock on track, I see coolant between 210-220f and oil pretty much always 270f, regardless of the temps outside with 15-50 Mobil 1.

5w30 was the recommended oil at the time. I believe 0w40 is now the recommended oil for track and street. Go with 0w40 and maybe some of the track sections advice on oil changes, etc.
